Household Sponsorship

1 out of 5 households in Busia district regularly go days without food, clean water and a place to relieve themselves. With no government resources to meet their needs, these households are left helpless and easily prone to diseases such as malnutrition related diseases, cholera, diarrhea.

Through sponsorship, you can change the future of these households.

For $100 a month, a household will receive;

Food
Medicare
Capital to start a kitchen garden
A modern hand washing facility
A toilet

You will receive;

Information about the household such as the history, health status
An updated picture of the household thrice a year
Letters from the household at least twice a year
The opportunity to send your household gifts/ letters
Periodic updates from ASHWA

The ASHWA Internship Programme offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain direct practical experience with ASHWA’s work. Internship opportunities are available worldwide.

How to Join Us

Be proficient in at least one of ASHWA’s working languages: English or Kiswahili .
Be at least 18 years old.
Pay a fee of 150,000 ugx or $39 to join the internship

Requirements

An organization, individual or group wishing to become a member should submit a duly filled out Membership application form together with the following attachments

UGX 150,000 /= for group application fee
UGX 50,000 /= for individual membership application fee
UGX 250,000 /= for institution membership application fee
